KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau on Tuesday sought time to file comments on bail application of DIG Faisal Bashir Memon in NAB reference over alleged corruption in police feeding charges. A division bench of the SHC headed by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh heard bail application of DIG Memon in feeding charges corruption case. NAB special prosecutor sought time from the court to file detailed comments on corruption charges against the police officer. Upon this the court directed NAB to file detailed comments on the petitions till September 28. The court adjourned the hearing till September 28. NAB said that Faisal Bashir and former AIG Fida Hussain had committed large scale embezzlements in feeding charges of police. NAB said that co-accused in the case Fida Hussain bail application had been rejected and now he was in jail. The bureau prosecutor said that another NAB reference had been filed against the police officers in the corruption case. He further informed the court that other inquiries against the police officers related to corruption in police were underway.
